What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of over 100 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not have the psychoactive affect that makes you high.  Currently, therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world.

Is CBD Legal? Do I need a medical cannabis or marijuana card to purchase?

Yes, CBD is legal in all 50 states. GRN CBD products contain only legal hemp-based CBD, which can be legally purchased anywhere in the U.S.A without a doctor’s prescription or medical cannabis card. Nevertheless, we recommend you consult your doctor or health professional, as well as to check your local laws to confirm that CBD is legal in your region.

Will CBD show up on a drug test?

While GRN CBD products are manufactured from legal grown hemp plants containing less than 0.3% THC, there are still trace amounts of THC. As a result, there is no guarantee CBD users, despite not experiencing any intoxicating effects, won’t test positive for a drug test for THC. We recommend that you consult a doctor or employer if potential drug testing is a concern.

How long until you feel the effects of CBD?

To be clear, there is no “high” associated with the consumption of CBD. Effects of CBD will differ for every person depending on the level, quality and amount of CBD taken, as well as individual weight and overall body mass. We recommend that you begin with a reputable, third-party lab tested brand like GRN CBD and start with smaller doses of CBD and then gradually increase overtime until you reach your desired results.

How much CBD is right for me?

Because each individual’s metabolism and body structure is unique, there is not a predetermined dose that can be clearly predicted for everyone. It is recommended to consult a doctor or health professional to determine an adequate amount for your body and lifestyle, and then gradually adjust as needed to reach your desired relief.

What’s the difference between Marijuana Plants & Hemp Plants?

While they hail from the same plant family, marijuana and hemp develop contrasting levels of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the illegal, psychotropic cannabinoid. Both are classified as cannabis sativa plants, but in accord with the Agricultural Act of 2014, legal hemp plants that we use to produce GRN CBD contain less than 0.3 percent THC.

What is (are) Cannabinoid(s)?

Cannabinoids are the natural molecular composites found in Cannabis sativa plants as well as many other plant species including Coneflower (Echinacea). Cannabinoids are also naturally produced inside our bodies and work in conjunction with our immune and central nervous system. Categorized as fatty compounds, the study of the positive benefits of Cannabinoids is extensive and ongoing.
